Miss Navajo Nation 1995-96 Audra J. Etsitty is the 44th Miss Navajo Nation to be crowned. The coronation took place on September 09, 1995. She is 19 years old and originally from Many Farms, Arizona, and now currently resides in Window Rock, Arizona. She is of the Bitter Water clan, born for the Mexican clan.

Miss Etsitty is a 1995 graduate of Chinle High School, Chinle, Arizona. Upon the completion of her reign as Miss Navajo Nation, Miss Etsitty plans to go to college and achieve her degree in Early Childhood or Secondary Education.

Miss Etsitty is the granddaughter of the late Totsoni Yazzie, and the granddaughter of Marie C. Etsitty. She is the daughter of Cecil and Grace Etsitty. Her father is from Burnt Corn Valley, Pinon, Arizona and her mother is from Many Farms, Arizona.

While serving as the Goodwill Ambassador of the Navajo Nation, she represents the beauty and the uniqueness of the Navajo language, traditional ways and values. While reigning as Miss Navajo Nation, Ms. Etsitty emphasizes to the youth, the importance of education as well as preserving their traditional culture and language. She respects all elders, for they carry with them the knowledge and wisdom of their culture.

My name is Audra J. Etsitty, the reigning Miss Navajo Nation. I am of the Bitter Water clan, born for the Mexican clan. My maternal and paternal clans are Big Water and One who Walks Around. I am 20 years old and orginally from Many Farms, Arizona.

As the Goodwill Ambassador of our Great Nation, I represent the beauty and the uniqueness of our language, traditions and values. I instill the importance of our forefather's sacred teachings to our precious youth. As Miss Navajo Nation, I strongly believe in our children. Our children are very special and important, for they hold the sacred key to our Great Nation. Our elders are just as special and important, for they carry with them the knowledge and wisdom of our culture.
